Xenith
About this archive
Xenith Station stood at this address in 2025. This is its writing, restored.
Where it comes from
Every piece here was published at Xenith Station between 15 March and 5 April 2025. It is restored from the backup of the site taken on 6 April 2025, and the words are as they stood in that backup, last edited on 5 and 6 April. Only the formatting is simpler. The images are those the original pages carried, and so are the music pairings and further reading beside the first nine pieces. Cassiopeia's images and music pairings are not in that backup, whose copy of those pages is an earlier state. They come from the station's own snapshot, taken early on 6 April 2025, which holds the same words. Each pairing names the track as the station did and links the recording it linked, on SoundCloud; where cogconcor.com has that recording, or the song in another version, that is linked too.
Cassiopeia's rooms come from the station's forum, in the same backup: their names, their descriptions and their order. All five rooms were locked with a password. The First Loop held the same twenty-seven pieces, word for word; the other four never held a post. So nothing was behind those locks that is not here. The sorting under those four rooms is this archive's.
The greeting that opens Cassiopeia was on the station's own dashboard, which only its editors saw.
How to read it today: Reading the archive.
What was left out
- A privacy policy written for an automation service the site no longer offers.
- Terms of service for that same service.
- An untitled test entry, never public.
- Each Cassiopeia piece's link to its copy on the Xenith Station Forums, then at work0.today. The copy held the same words, which are here.
- The "Who is Brooke?" links beside the first nine pieces and beside The Keeper’s Letter, which pointed to a page outside this family of sites.
- The greeting's label on the dashboard, "0. You are in Cassiopeia."
- The images earlier states of two pieces carried before their own: a stock image that came with the site's software, on On Misunderstanding: What Sevahem and Xenith Are (and Are Not), and a picture of a crystal lattice made in 2024, on Sevahem and the Work Zero Connectome.
- Everything members or visitors gave the old site or its forum: accounts, messages and records of visits, and the passwords that locked the rooms.
